Description

Course Description:

This hands-on course introduces students to the exciting world of robotics and engineering using the VEX GO system — a colorful, easy-to-use robotics platform designed especially for young learners. Through fun, guided projects, students will build and program robots while exploring the basics of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) in an interactive and creative way.

Each lesson encourages students to think like engineers as they design, build, test, and improve their robot creations. Using VEXcode GO, a block-based programming environment, students learn the foundations of coding, problem-solving, and teamwork while bringing their robots to life through movement and automation.

This course inspires curiosity and confidence as students discover how technology and engineering can solve real-world challenges — preparing them for more advanced robotics and coding programs in the future.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • Build and program robots using VEX GO kits and VEXcode GO

  • Understand core STEM and engineering principles

  • Learn the basics of block-based coding

  • Develop creativity, logical thinking, and collaboration skills

  • Apply problem-solving through fun, hands-on design challenges
