Description
Course Description
In this course, young learners are introduced to 3D digital design while developing creativity and spatial thinking skills using the Makers Empire platform. Students begin with Basic Training, a series of interactive tutorials that teach the fundamental tools needed to create simple 3D designs.
After learning the basics, students move on to Pro Training, where they follow step-by-step instructions to design small objects and explore more advanced modelling techniques. Students then participate in Challenge Central, completing themed design challenges that encourage creativity and problem-solving.
In the final lessons, students apply what they have learned to design their own original 3D creations, building confidence with digital tools while exploring art, design, and imagination.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
• Understand basic concepts of 3D design and spatial thinking.
• Navigate the Makers Empire interface and use basic 3D design tools.
• Create simple 3D objects using shapes and basic design features.
• Follow step-by-step instructions to build small 3D models.
• Apply creativity and problem-solving through themed design challenges.
• Design their own original 3D creations using the skills they have learned.
Note
Students will complete their 3D design activities primarily on the Makers Empire platform and through STEMA instructional resources. The course shell in the LMS is used only for lesson organization and completion tracking.
